"As a member or contributor, you hereby irrevocably assign to (the pool) all right, title and interest in and to all intellectual property rights to such User Content, including the right to reproduce, exhibit, broadcast, stream on line, license, or distribute such User Content in all formats and media, whether now known or hereafter devised and to use the User Content for any purpose whatsoever, without any obligation to you." Here are the general terms for another pool: Can anyone shed some light on this?ĮDIT: If this pool is like one other I have seen, this seems like an absolutely terrible idea for copyright owners. I won't submit until I understand how my music is being used and how I will be paid. I've never done this before, so I asked the CEO of the pool about the terms and expected to receive a contract that I could evaluate/negotiate before I submitted, but they didn't send one and didn't even address the issue. I've been asked to submit some of my produced tracks to the official record pool of a major DJ software product. ![]()
